First of all I would like to wish you all the best for the New year and I hope 2018 is a good year for you all.
Not much has happened in the golfing world over the Christmas and new year period.
Tiger Woods has sacked his coach, Chris Como, and will continue on his own for the coming year. They have been a team from just short of 4 years but he said he will prepare his own practice and schedule for the coming years. They remain good friends and Chris said he will help him out if he ever need him.
Thomas Bjorn is the Ryder cup captain for Paris 2018 and he has vowed that he will pick players who are “in a good place” with their golf. Paul Casey has thrown his hat into the ring and said he is back in contention for a place in the Ryder cup. European golf has arguably never been in better shape with many experienced and rookie players battling it out week in week out. Paul Casey, Justin Rose, Rory Mcilroy, Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter, Jon Rahm, Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson, Tommy Fleetwood, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Thomas Peters, Martin Kaymer, Alex Noren, Victor Dubuisson, Alexander Levy and Francesco Molinari will be some of the names hoping to gain a place in the European team who take on a very strong USA team. Whoever he picks lets hope they are the right players to help us take back the Ryder Cup.
