Captain’s Charity Bunker? POND!
This year, Captain Jason Worton has selected Dickens Dilemma Pond as his Charity ‘Bunker’. If you hit your ball into the pond you are to place a charitable donation (50p would be lovely) into the Captain’s bucket which is placed on the end of the Morgans Bar.
I’m sure many of you reading this will be holding your heads in your hands as you know this could be an expensive year!

Please Repair Your Pitch Marks!
It’s that time of year again when your golf ball will start to make pitch marks on the putting surfaces of Hunley Greens.
I know many of you are not used to making pitch marks throughout the summer on the firm greens but now they are softened, they need to be fixed. This will help maintain the quality of the putting surfaces throughout the year.

Halfway through the Cook Shield!
This coming week will mark the halfway stage of the 2016/17 Cook Shield Winter 4BBB. We have been incredibly lucky so far with the weather and I think we’re all hoping it stays this way!
Top of the leader board at this point is Craig Hartas and Shaun Garret on (-81) with Steve Borrow and Simon Wakefield closely behind on (-80).
The Cook Shield Shotgun & Dinner has been organised for the 1st April 2017. EARLY BIRD Tickets are £22.50 Until 31st Jan (£27.50 After, Saving You £5!)
Annual Handicap Review
As we get closer to the review, any golfer who believes that their own handicap does not reflect their playing ability is now invited to apply in writing for a reduction/increase and to set out the reasons.

Christmas Shotgun – 18th December 2016
Sunday 18th December is the Christmas Shotgun!
The format is a 4 man team Texas scramble and it will begin at 09.00 am
It’s a very relaxed and enjoyable day, so dress up in Christmas fancy dress and have as much fun as possible!
