IAN MITCHELL
For those that don’t know me my name is Ian Mitchell and would appreciate your vote for the role of Vice Captain for the upcoming 2016/17 season representing the club alongside our new captain elect Jason Worton and the management team here at Hunley.
A little background about me, I am Contracts Manager working for Northern Powergrid and have lived in Brotton for the last twenty years, married and have been a member here at Hunley for the last seven years, having previously been a member at Wilton GC.
I have played golf on and off for probably the last twenty five years, but have really only managed to play regularly since becoming a member at Hunley. Playing off a handicap of 19 it would be fair to say that I probably can play to a lower handicap, however, due to back problems in the last couple of years this has meant my game has seriously been affected.
It would be an honour to become Vice Captain for the year ahead followed by Captain for the 2017/18 season. I appreciate that the role is more ceremonial than anything else, however, I would like to actively use my time, if elected, to bring the membership and management team at Hunley closer together as well as undertaking the numerous roles required of Captain. There has been great things done already and others things which will take more time to achieve and I believe that a harmonious atmosphere will build on the great work that has already been done.
Finally, I would also like to take this opportunity to wish Steve Linford all the best running alongside me in his quest to be the 2016/17 Vice Captain as I truly believe, if I am unsuccessful, Steve will be a great person for the role.

STEVE LINFORD
Just a few words about me, Stephen Linford. I am a father of 2 fantastic kids, a good son, grandson and brother. I’m very loyal to my family and friends and have a very supportive girlfriend. I’m very approachable too, not a bad bloke really.
If I get the opportunity to be captain of Hunley, I would be following in the footsteps of my Dad, Lance Linford who Captained the club in 1998-1999 of which I’m proud of and I know he would be too if I’m fortunate enough to become your Vice-Captain.
If appointed, I would like to able to help take Hunley forward in all areas with the support of the members, and also help and support the Captain in his role throughout the coming year.
