Ian Watson Memorial Results:

Sunday saw some of the worst weather we have seen in recent weeks. With high winds and rain it was expected that a number of golfers would give it a miss.

Raymond Lettin and Alan Blair had a great score with a 66 nett to win the Ian Watson Memorial. Runners up for the day were Ryan Stonehouse and Keith Brown with a 70 nett.

Les Morrison won NTP and Rob Lynas had the only ‘2’ of the day.

I think a huge well done is in order to everyone who played!

Magoos Day:

All tee times for Magoo’s Day have now been taken. Format is 4 person texas scramble, £50 a team. Please place this in an envelope with your team name and team members on and hand in at the pro shop. We require this in before the 12th August.

I appreciate that a few teams have been made up with reserves so they won’t see their other team members to pay as a group. Anyone with this problem, please pop £12.50 in an envelope and hand it to the pro shop. For those who have sponsored a hole, please could you pay the £30 sponsorship to the Pro Shop or to Simon Wilkinson before the 12th as well.

Raffle tickets are now on sale behind the bar with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK. A full list of raffle prizes will be posted shortly. Just a quick rundown of the day. As I said earlier the format is 4 person texas scramble with nearest the pins on every hole. Refreshments on Snaiths. Hog roast and complimentary Kronenbourg on completion of your round. We’ve also got a bit of a surprise on the day which we are keeping secret (if we can!). We’ll also be running a silent auction to win 4balls with all proceeds going to cancer research. Last year some of these 4balls went for low bids so you could pick up a 4ball at a very good rate!

Finally, for any men’s teams that require a player, we have a reserve list of gents who would like to play. Thanks to everyone for all their support, it is greatly appreciated.
