Grainger Trophy:
Saturday afternoon saw 16 pairs compete in this greensomes competition. Braving the weather, it was Richard Walker and Sally Harridge-March who took third place with 38 points. Tony Zutshi and Dot Smelt were second place with 39 points, and this years winners were Mark Pearson and Eileen Barnes with 41 points. Well done to all who played!
Founders Bowl & Stableford:
On Sunday we held the Founders Bowl & Stableford. This competition has two separate prizes, those that are founder members and those who aren’t. The winner of the Nearest the Pin was Stuart Jackson. For the non-founders, third place went to Richard Garton with 39 points, second place went to Robert Cooper who just pipped Richard on countback, also with 39 points, and the winner was Mark Taylor with 41 points. For the founder members, there was only two entries. This years runner up was Derek Clements, and the winner was Glenn Pears.
The pro raffle winners this week were; Martin Myers, Dan Stone and Glenn Pears. The money has been added to your pro shop account.
Next Week:
Next Weekend is the last 2 day competition – the Brown Trophy. This is a stableford competition, tee times run both days from 7-11, tee times and playing partners are randomly drawn, however, we will aim to draw you around the time that best suits you, to enter, please book online via ESP at the time you would prefer for the Saturday only. If you can only make one day please let the pro shop know which day you can make.
Melbourne Charity Update:
Just to let everyone know that the total figure raised from the Melbourne Charity Day was £1111.11. Well done and thank you to everyone.
