Assistant Greenkeeper
We are seeking an dedicated individual to join our exceptional Greenkeeping team, either as an ambitious individual wanting to develop a career or an experienced professional ready for a practical, hands-on leadership role.
This position arises due to an imminent retirement and the internal promotion of our Course Manager, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of Hunley Golf Club.
Depending on the candidate’s experience, skill set, and bespoke capabilities, we are looking to fill one pivotal role, either to strengthen the team as an Assistant Greenkeeper or to take up a bespoke hands-on position as Agronomy Team Leader.
Assistant Greenkeeper
A fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in golf course management. Full training will be provided, but experience in machinery operation, landscaping, horticulture, or golf course maintenance would be advantageous. This role offers exposure to all aspects of course presentation and maintenance, providing the foundation for a long-term career.
Agronomy Team Leader
This strategic role is ideal for an experienced Greenkeeper looking to lead and innovate. Working directly with the General Manager, you will:
- Lead a small, high-performing team while remaining hands-on in daily operations
- Drive quality and presentation standards across all areas of the course
- Manage machinery, seasonal programs, and operational planning
- Contribute to long-term course development, initiatives, and best practice
Salary: In line with CGCS recommendations.
