Also in America, Horschel ended his 32 month winless run after a play off at the AT&T Nelson. After carding a one under final round Horschel ended up in a playoff with Day on the final Sunday. Day committed the sin of a 3 putt in the play off, leaving Horschel’s 2 putt par good enough to claim victory!
Over the sea, the Rocco Forte open in Sicily was won with mixed emotions. Quiros losing a seven shot lead in the final round led to a play off against Lombard. Lombard missed his par putt save on the second play off hole, leaving Quiros par enough to win. Although Quiros expressed happiness with his win, he couldn’t help disappointment with losing his lead. Still a win in the books for the 2017 season, who can complain with that?!
